If you are having difficulty getting your Mbox recognized with Pro Tools LE 6 in OS X, and you do not have OS 9 to run the Firmware updater below, use this version in OS X to update your Mbox firmware. Note: Apple System Profiler in OS X will not identify the Firmware version installed on your Mbox.
In most cases, your Mbox will have firmware 20 already, in which case the Firmware update will report that no changes have been made. This software will update your Mbox firmware to version 20, required for OS X. This installs the exact same Firmware Rev 20 as the OS 9 application below, but will run when booted in OS X.

By default in the assign tab, they're on "toggle" but I had to change them all to "gate" for it to work.
The next thing I did was change the transport control buttons in the NI controller editor. To anyone still having problems getting it to work, from one previously frustrated user to another, I hope this helps.Īt first the play and record buttons were working but the stop, rewind, and fast forward were not.įirst things first: I'm assuming you have already download one of the Pro Tools templates for maschine that's floating out there but if not. his work is of high value to all pro tools users! pizza dude: again thanks so much for developing this! And HTC is working here too! as you seem to be in charge here: get in touch with native instruments and make sure they send a free maschine mk2 controller to "the pizza dude". If you use VE pro as a RTAS plugin and open maschine there as VST cpu power decreases down to 3-5%. On my mac pro 2,1 -8core - 2,66ghz maschine as RTAS uses about 30% up to 50% cpu power. doing so significantly reduces cpu power on your mac and inside pro tools. I would like to add that maschine host transport control is working just as fine under pro tools even if maschine is used inside vienna ensemble pro as a vst plugin and connected to pro tools as "the pizzaĭude" pointed out earlier in this thread. there go to templates, down the menue make sure MIDI PORT is set to INTERNAL and underneath the box for HOST TRANSPORT CONTROL is TICKED. on the right side you have all the options and preferences about how to deal with midi and your maschine controller: it is called inspector. Try this : open the controller editor application.
